Beyond a Distant Sea’ is a one-hour crime drama television series set in the underbelly of the sunny, beachside streets of Venice, Los Angeles. With John Bartlett’s autobiographical book ‘Towards a Distant Sea’ providing the inspiration and backstory, it follows the adventures of Jack Ferryman: a rugged Australian with a colorful past, a razor-sharp mind, and a hunger for setting the world aright. Despite his best efforts, there is one universal law Jack can never hope to escape, and that is the law of unintended consequences. Might as well fight against the raging sea.
