The 48 Green Hours is a national short film competition designed to promote the role that film can play in raising awareness and encouraging action on eco issues. The competition challenges filmmakers to write, shoot and edit a 4-7min short film in only 48 hours.

The theme for 2011 is ‘water’, in conjunction with WSROC’s Water in The Landscape program. Water in The Landscape focuses on key issues that affect you and your favourite places, exploring the issues of water and its impact on our environments.
